The complete archive of the Valley of Mines — a Talislanta campaign in a sealed penal colony, 114 sessions from the Standing Godfather to the fall of the Barrier. For the players, then and now.
The Archive
Where to begin
This site is the reference companion to the campaign — and to whatever comes after it. The Barrier has fallen; the new game is under way. When something from the Valley surfaces again, this is where you look it up. Every page has a discussion section, and any comment can be pinned to keep it at the top of its topic.
The whole story in ten chapters, from the cliff top to the final confrontation.
114 award posts as the GM wrote them, with the original table talk.
46 session videos on YouTube, from 2015 to the finale.
The players and their characters — the Chosen Ones of the Valley.
Camps and factions, NPCs, artifacts, the Sleeper — the lore, organized and editable.
The GM's session art and maps, captioned.
In memory of
who played Chaga of the Jaka, 2014–2015
“I want out of this accursed place and I will kill to do so… I only draw blood when necessary: to fill my belly or the bellies of my kin — or, of course, to free us from this madness!”
Chris passed away on August 15, 2015. Chaga fell in the Valley soon after — not quietly, but the way he lived: defying the enemy he hated most. The Jaka carried him home, and his story never really stopped being told at our table.
